We Know What Works, And What Doesn’t. Basically quality content works!

“You can do all the technical SEO in the world but your SEO strategy will still fail if you don’t make your website into a resource that people want to use. Five page websites no longer wank very well. Unless you have lots of really powerful, trustworthy backlinks of course. It also depends on the strength of the competition. This is why there’s no one size fits all solution when it comes to SEO.”

For good SEO you need:

Good SEO (which is a broad area)

Google content (which many argue is a specific category within SEO)

A good insight into your competitors

A plan – remember if you fail to plan you plan to fail

A consistent approach with a god overview of what’s going on with your SEO campaign

And persistence!

Answers to Frequently Asked SEO Questions

What is an SEO expert?

There are very many people who sell their services on the basis that they’re “SEO experts” but very few we’ve come across can prove it. A SEO expert is somehow who truly knows SEO inside and out. This discipline covers many aspects of marketing, web design and development, and excellent content creation. And content doesn’t just come in the written format – we’re talking video, images, infographics, memes, audio – basically a full range of media to engage your target market. SEO is NOT about making a few meta tag tweaks. The end result of SEO should be lots of targeted traffic. But we’re dealing with Google et al which are 3rd party search engines, so don’t be fooled if someone tries to sell you guaranteed first positions.

Content is important right?

Yes it certainly is and the amount of quality content you need and the frequency at which you need it, does really depend on your industry sector and your competition. There’s staple content, topical content and much more. You can outsource content creation and content marketing to us or we can work with your inhouse team to create this.

SEO is dead isn’t it? It no longer works? Isn’t is just about fooling Google?

SEO certainly works and it isn’t about pulling the wool over Google’s eyes. Although some so-called SEO experts do use tricks to fool Google. SEO is really just about great content, presented in a usable way on your website or websites. There are no special tricks and it isn’t about manipulation of search engine results.

How do I get my website a top 10 position in Google?

The first thing you need is a SEO strategy and to develop one of these you need to know what you aim to achieve and know the strength of your competition. Then you likely need website improvements or a redesign, and some really great content. You’ll need to track your progress with analytics and check for any technical SEO blockers which may stop search engines crawlers or bots in their tracks.

Can’t I just do SEO myself?

Well, there’s quite a bit of work involved in doing SEO correctly, efficiently and, basically in a great way which provides a good return on investment (ROI) and would stand up to a typical costs-benefits aonalysis. If you’re in business then you have your own specific skillset and if you’d like to learn SEO then there’s lots of research on the Internet. But I could probably fix my own car like you could fix the reason why your website isn’t ranking. I’d rather spend my time making money doing what I’m good at and pay others to do what they’re good at. So the answer to this quite frequently asked question is you can learn it if you are so inclined. But is this a really good use of your time and will you enjoy doing so. Will the costs vs benefits be better than paying a SEO expert? The choice is yours.
